About the event
The Summer Sewing Club Series is a beginner-friendly sewing program designed to introduce tweens and teens to the fundamentals of sewing in a creative, supportive environment. Participants will learn essential sewing machine skills including how to safely operate a sewing machine, thread the machine, wind a bobbin, sew straight lines, understand seam allowance, and build confidence using basic sewing tools and techniques.
Each session focuses on hands-on learning through approachable projects that gradually build sewing confidence and practical skills. Beginner sewists will gain experience working with fabric, following simple construction steps, and completing projects they can use and enjoy.
Throughout the series, participants will develop patience, creativity, problem-solving skills, and independence while learning the foundations of garment and accessory construction in a fun small-group setting.
